Therapy Works now offers TELETHERAPY

We are now accepting NEW PATIENTS for OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PHYSICAL THERAPY, and SPEECH THERAPY via TELEHEALTH. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth services are now covered by Medicaid and most private insurance. For the last couple of weeks, Therapy Works has been working diligently on getting the option of providing therapy services via teletherapy with Medicaid and other private insurance companies. We have successfully gotten the go-signal to see children with coverage under the following insurance companies:

Medicaid

Amerigroup

Peach State

Caresource

Anthem

Kaiser

United Health Care.

If your child’s insurance coverage is not one of the above and you would like the option of teletherapy to continue the plan of care, you will need to do the following.

Call your insurance member services number located at the back of your member ID

Verify if OT/PT/ST services via telehealth are covered.

Get the name of the person you spoke with, as well as the reference number for the call.

Please note that the Georgia Telehealth Act came into effect on January 1, 2020 so your insurance company policy manuals may not have been updated. This law requires insurance plans to offer the telehealth option to be compliant in Georgia.
